Remote for TUSHY Electric Bidet
Role
Project Lead + Senior Industrial Designer
Overview
The remote for TUSHY Ace was designed as a slim, elegant controller that balanced modern aesthetics with daily usability
The aim was to make the user interface feel premium and seamless while maintaining simplicity for new users
What I Did
Designed a minimalist remote with a sculptural silhouette and capacitive touch interface
Created a layered material aesthetic: soft touch painted body juxtaposed with high gloss plastic cap and gentle ring lights around each button
Led packaging and in-box design to elevate the unboxing moment and product discovery
Looking Back
Streamline DFM: In future iterations, I would simplify the visual layering to avoid multiple processes for a single finish goal
Refocus UX: Capacitive touch looked sleek but proved unnecessary — I'd scale back to tactile controls that better support muscle memory and intuitive use

Design Criteria
Capacitive touch controls with haptic feedback
Must have >6+ month battery life
Magnetic snap wall mount
RF communication for reliable range
Buttons must work in wet and humid spaces
I also led the design and development of the packaging for this product — balancing sustainability, protection, and user-friendly unboxing. The form was engineered to securely nest all components while minimizing material waste and shipping volume.
